 PERMANENT RESIDENCE.

Due to the refurbishment of 15 Whitehall Office, the Immigration & Civic Services will be relocated to South Africa House with effect from May 12, 2009 until July 15, 2009 . The entrance is located underneath the Golden Springbok on the corner of the Strand and Trafalgar Square. Any inconvenience caused by the relocation of the office is deeply regretted.

With effect from 11 May 2009 all applications for visas and temporary residence permits will be accepted by post only.

 

PLEASE NOTE
1. No flight arrangements have to be made until the processing officer has informed you of the likelihood of the permit being issued to you.
2. All payment must be in a form of money order or bank certified check.
3. All applicants must provide their e – mail addresses so that they can be informed of the status of their applications.
4. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
5. No calls should be made to the office until the application has passed stated turn around time.
6. All applications must be sent to the office by special delivery envelopes.

WHO QUALIFIES FOR THIS PERMIT?

All foreigners who wish to permanently reside in South Africa who qualify by virtue of complying with all necessary requirements

FEES

The prescribed fee is £125-00. Only cheques, cash or postal orders are acceptable. Cheques and postal orders should be made payable to South African High Commission. Visa fees are subject to change on the 1st April every year.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Once clients have decided to apply for Permanent Residence, they should please contact our office to make an appointment to lodge their application and attend an interview.

  • Please be aware that we are unable to accept incomplete applications and clients are therefore advised to submit all the requested documents/requirements at the time of lodging your application.

  • The various categories in which one may apply for permanent residence is clearly indicated on application form 18.

  • It is not the Departments responsibility to choose a category for prospective applicants. It is ultimately the client's choice to make.

  • We are not able to attend to e-mails or postal correspondence if the information is already presented in this forum. Please therefore read the information carefully before e mailing or writing to us.
