PLEASE NOTE
Kindly be advised that the visa appointment line has been closed except for Permanent Residence applications. Applicants can report to the office on “walk in” as from Monday 17/05/2010 between 9-11 am only. No one will be attended to after 11am.
Applicants for permanent residency must sent their request for appointment to: Tibak@dirco.gov.za . Visiting hours are between 9-11 am from Monday to Friday except public Holidays. No one will be attended to after 11am.
OPENING & CLOSING OF OFFICE
- The office dealing with South African passport holders will be opened from 08:45 AM to 12:45 PM Monday to Friday except on public holidays.
- The office dealing with Foreign passport holders will be opened from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday to Friday except on public holidays.

Welcome to the web pages of the Home Affairs Consular Section.The
Home Affairs Consular section is an attached Department which falls
under the auspices of the South African High Commission, London.
We however represent the Department
of Home Affairs in respect of all functional maters.
The Consular section essentially deals
with two types of clients:
- South African Citizen living in the UK who require services
such as application for identity documents, passports, registration
of births, copies of marriage, birth and death certificates. Click

- Foreign nationals who want to visit South Africa either temporary
or permanently can click on Foreign Citizens
Opening hours are
- The office dealing with South African passport holders will be opened from 8:45 AM to 12:45 PM Monday to Friday except on public holidays.

Emergencies
In cases of extreme emergency, applicants
concerned should send their emergency requests to: tibak@foreign.gov.za or fax
to: 020 7925 8930 - 31. Ensure that you include:
- doctors’ letter
or death certificate - Issued by the Department of Home Affairs,
in cases of deaths in South Africa
- your telephone number
so that you can be contacted immediately.
Please, do not proceed to the office without receiving a confirmation
to come.
